Create a Video Google account.
go to
http://video.google.com (http://video.google.com/)
click on Sign In, then click on
Create An Account Now link.
then go to http://video.google.com (http://video.google.com/) and sign in.
Once you have signed, click on the Uploaded Videos link , top right of browser.
Then click on the Upload Video link
Then click on the Learn More link under No2 Desktop Uploader.
This will reveal another window, then click on the Install Windows Uploader button and
follow the instructions.
Once you have install the desktop uploader, you can now upload as many video files
from your hard drive as possible.
Once you upload a movie file to video.google.com
You then need to add some information about this video.
Navigate back to your Videos section of video.google.com (from here on known as simply VG)
When the movies are first uploaded you may see a "Processing" message beside it. refresh the VG page every 5 mins till it says
Needs Action.
Then click on the Add Info button
In the Title put a good description of this video, use as many terms as possible, the more terms the broader the market, these videos are found via
search ,
the more terms you the more exposure you will get.
In the Description i generally copy what I entered in the title and then put this text with it.
MY TITLE INFO , from http://www.thevideosense.com (http://www.thevideosense.com/)
Make money like I am by supplying videos like this, from the web to http://www.thevideosense.com (http://www.thevideosense.com/)
( of course when you do this, you replace http://www.thevideosense.com/ (http://www.thevideosense.com/) with http://www.thevideosense.com/user/YourUserName/ (http://www.thevideosense.com/user/YourUserName/) once you register your name.)
when adding the description ,
you add the same info in the title then the text similar to mine with it.. do not put line breaks between this description text and thevideosense.com message as this can make the second paragraph hidden.
see this link as an example.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8735195355185448330 (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8735195355185448330)
check the certify box
Next. Select English
Now you are presented with the Genre Entries.
This is important.. I find my videos popping up in the top listings under these categories e.g
Top 100 Comedy | Music Videos | Sports | Animation |
You need to check at least one of the above boxes for every video that you enter to VG.
this means you have a chance of getting on of your videos listed here, if that happens, then they really take off and your text from above is exposed to a LOT Of people.
In the URL field put http://www.thevideosense.com/user/YourUserName/ (http://www.thevideosense.com/user/YourUserName/)
full name. = a term about your video
Role = another term about your video.
both these above help to get your video found in VG for these terms.
Then click on the save information button.
From this point it can take from 10 seconds to 8 hours for your videos to go live in VG.
Once its live. view it and then copy the URL of this video to a text file for later.
Do this for every video you have on your hard drive.
Once you get the hang of it.. its very fast. you open your VG uploader upload a ton of videos
add the info for each takes me under a min for each.. then they are live. with links pointing back to your site. :)
So, please start uploading as many videos as you have on your hard drive to VG.
though add the info once you have created your thevideosense.com account etc.

Hi, you only need to copy the embed code from videos at video.google.com as seen in the video tutorials at
http://tutorials.thevideosense.com

Sorry for any confusion , but I don't understand how I get a website with my video onto VG with my adsense ads on it when it came from VG in the first place...The video I have on the member site was taken from VG. To get that video onto VG with my own adsense ads is where I am getting confused. Do I have to upload it from videosense backto VG or is there somethng I am missing.

I hope I answer this correctly :)
You upload your videos first to VG or YT.
Then you embed the codes from those two places and place it in the "submit video" section of TVS.

Hi, I'm slightly confused and was wondering if you could clarify some things for me. I did everything you said for the site; I created an account at your video site, I created a google video/adsense account, I've uploaded a video on my page at thevideosense.com, but I don't understand the connection with adsense and how it's supposed to be on my page?? Maybe I'm asking how I'm supposed to get my adsense stuff on my page or what, I'm really confused...Could you clarify how or where or what I'm supposed to do, or have I already done everything?

Adsense publish the ads on your TVS pages and the revenue generated are shared with you.
So the connection is that you provide the content (videos and description of videos) and Adsense will provide the relevant ads that will provide some income.
Google Adsense is the one that pays you and to view the data just log into your account at adsense.google.com . :)
The ads are automatically done by Pete's TVS team so you don't have to worry about that.

Ok, but what I was asking was how google adsense knows my account on this site? Isn't there something that I'm supposed to do so that adsense knows what sites for it to include?

all you need to do is enter your Adsense Publisher-ID in your members section under
Edit Profile / Pub Id
thats all you need to do :)

Does it mean that I can also download any videos from youtube and upload it to google video and vice versa?
Is it infringement of copyrights?

Some videos belongs in the public domain and you can use those videos freely without any copyright infringement. :)

Hi I am getting a bit lost. I have done steps 1 -3 and am now at step 4. At the moment I have videos from VG. If I want to upload these or link back to VG, what info do I use from TVS site, if any, do I use in the "video file" field. I am guessing this is the link to the TVS site. I am sure I have seen the answer, but I am now to close to the elephant and all I can see is grey!! Any help or pointers would be great. Thanks - Peter

Peter,
when up loading thru the video google web interface (i'm assuming
that is what you are talking about) you click the 'browse' button
to the right and find the file that is on your computer that you are
trying to upload.

Hi James,
thats about it, but the vidoes I want to submit to VG come from VG and are only on TVS, not stored on my pc. Will I have to download any vidoes from the web to the pc first or can I submit direct from TVS?

I'm thinking that you may be thinking of this backwards. TVS is not
setup to 'store' videos per say. At TVS you post the 'embed' code
from either YouTube or Video Google. The videos are hosted at
google or yt and the code you put in at tvs just points to them
although they appear to be coming from tvs.
The embed code that you see listed underneath the videos here at
tvs is for using on your own blog or website 'if' you had one. Again,
that's not required, either.
Optionally if you have downloaded any videos from around the web
you can upload them to Google Video or Youtube and then also
post the embed code back at TVS. This is not a requirement though.

Peter ...
I dont know if anyone does that (downloading a video from google just to re-upload it back to google) - I dont know if that is such a good idea. But I will let someone with more experience than myself talk about it. ANYONE?
But as far as I know, no matter how you decide to do it, you need download videos to your computer first, then upload them to google or youtube with your title / description / link back to your TVS url. As James said above, downloading videos from other places and then uploading to google and youtube is OPTIONAL, but it's a way to tap into that HUGE traffic and get some of those people to come to your TVS link ... which means potentially more referrals and thus (hopefully) more adsense clicks!
Good luck!

It is starting to make sense now! So the videos that I have seen in VG & YT, with a link to TVS have been caputered, for want of a better desc, elsewhere. So in order to get traffic to your "site" in TVS you should ideally also have videos unique to you in VG or YT. Videos we collect from VG & VT will only be picked up by people who surf through TVS site. I think. Sorry if this is obvious and I am having a slow day.

Hi Peter ,
there are 1000's of sites and peer to peer networks that have videos available for download that are not already on VG or YT.
there are links to some of them on this forum, do a search..
or search in google for them
or you can make your own simply ;)

Xtrader,
You didn't quote which message that you were speaking about so
I'm going to assume.
If you mean can we upload videos to YouTube and earn adsense money
the exact same way as we do at TVS. The answer is directly 'no', indirectly
'yes'.
You can make your own, or upload others that you find on the net
to YouTube. Then in the description you can put something about
TVS and your user link in there. This in turn will bring some interested
folks to TVS to sign up under you as a referral.
You can also embed the videos (that you yourself have uploaded to
YouTube) here at TVS.
Once the video is done processing and is "Live" you can go to the video
and right beside where you watch it is the code.

I have a follow up question if I may. Is the video on google just a redirect to your TVS page? In otherwords, the way I understand it is that you are trying to get people in VG to visit your TVS site. Is that correct? You can have tons of views in VG but if they don't click on your TVS link, then no adsense? I hope I have it right. Please let me know if that is correct. Secondly, is the blog purpose just to link to your TVS site? If so I should be able to add that link from any of my blogs?
Thanks a bunch
Willis

Hi willisbro
The purpose of adding links to your contents in video google, youtube and blog accounts is so you create backlinks to your TVS account this will help you in the rankings and also gives you a chance to receive more traffic to your TVS pages.
And you are right when they click on a video in video google you will not receive revenue from this, however if someone happens to click on your TVS link then your chances that they see something here increases and that could give you revenue.
On your blogger question, yes you can place in any of your blogs a link to your TVS account it will give you again a chance for more traffic to your pages here at TVS.
Have a great day, hope this answered your questions if not just repost;)

Hi there:
Haven't bothered anyone for one full day, so thought I would let everyone know I am still here :p
I just need to know if when you upload your video from your computer, should you leave the underscores (or joins) between the Title? I decided I wanted a bit of a change in the title of my video after it already uploaded, so I took the underscores out of the title, then had 2nd thoughts and re-entered them. Now I am not sure. My video is still in the processing stage and am very nervous what will happen now that I left those in. Will await an answer before going through the long (on dial up) upload process again.
Thanx BLASe:)
